CT Scan Technologist - Chilton Medical Center - Per Diem

Join Atlantic Health System as a CT Scan Technologist at Chilton Medical Center in a per diem role.

Job Description

Responsible for producing cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for medical diagnosis. Interprets physician scanning instructions, administers contrast materials, prepares and operates CT scan equipment, and positions patients to capture optimal images.

Principal Responsibilities
  1. Interprets CT protocols and correctly positions patients.
  2. Operates CT scanner equipment following radiation safety standards (ALARA).
  3. Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.
  4. Uses EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images for interpretation.
  5. Prepares and administers contrast material via power injector.
  6. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduated from an accredited radiology program and registered with ARRT.
  • Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CT Certification.
