Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Cat Scan Technologist to perform advanced CT procedures, review clinical history, and manage contrast administration. You will input data into EPIC and PACS, coordinate with radiologists, and ensure patient safety and accurate imaging.

Qualifications include ARRT CT certification within 12 months, BLS, and a Radiologic Technologist program graduate. The role requires shifts Tue-Sat 11pm-7am and NJ licensure.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and radiological positioning of the human body.
• Understanding mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware.
• Thorough knowledge of PACS system.
• Maintains CEU credits.
• ARRT (CT) certification within twelve months of hire date.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within three months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex CT procedures.
• Reviews patient history and scans into PACS/EPIC; communicates with radiologist as needed.
• Prepares, screens and reviews contrast questionnaires.
• Administers contrast as prescribed; selects appropriate dose.
• Verifies exam script and coordinates with Finance for insurance re-verification.
• Obtains outside studies and ensures availability in PACS for radiologists.
• Evaluates radiographs for diagnostic value in PACS.
• Ensures patient safety and proper preparation for scanning.
• Performs venipuncture and IV maintenance.
• Monitors patient condition during procedures.
• On-call and holiday/weekend shifts as required.
