Description

Summary: Performs high quality diagnostic and accurate CT scans of patients while maintaining patient safety.

Responsibilities

1. Introduce and greet patients.
2. Responsible for the care and safety of patients.
3. Instruct and prepare patients for CT exams.
4. Determine the most suitable anatomical posture and positions, and shield patients accordingly.
5. Produce high quality CT scans.
6. Assist with training students and ancillary personnel.
7. Interact professionally with patients and their families.
8. Complete all work before clocking out and leaving.
9. Attend annual hospital review (compliance) and departmental in-services meetings as scheduled.
10. Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
11. May lead, coach, and mentor staff members.
12. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
14. May take call as assigned.

Education

Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

Minimum Experience

At least one year of CT scan experience.

Required Certifications and Licenses

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Radiographer license
• CT State RT License or Temporary Practice Provisions for new graduates
• Continuing education with 24 CEU credits for license renewal

Working Conditions

• Manual dexterity and motor coordination skills required.
• Occupational risks involved.
