Job summary

UnityPoint Health’s St. Luke’s Hospital seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT examinations with precision, follow imaging guidelines, and support the mission of the hospital. You will ensure accurate documentation, contrast administration, and adherence to ALARA principles under radiologist supervision.

You will work within Imaging Services, maintain patient safety, participate in education and contribute to a high quality radiologic program through teamwork and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Must have current permit issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
• Must have ARRT certification as a Radiographer.
• Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
• Annually completes CT and Fluoroscopic Safety education.

Responsibilities

• Performs careful and accurate work in CT as assigned.
• Performs CT exams within specified turnaround time and adheres to exam guidelines.
• Administers contrast agents according to procedure guidelines and states correct flow rates utilizing power injector.
• Documents all necessary information in the performance of technical procedures, including adequate history and quality control.
• Uses AIDET with every patient interaction to create positive patient experiences.
