Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, successful completion of an approved course in radiologic technology, 1 year of experience conducting routine diagnostic procedures, and completion of an approved program in advanced modality or one year of experience in advanced modality

Responsibilities

• Rotate within Radiology and CT departments as needed
• Assist Radiology and CT students in training
• Perform a variety of imaging management tasks and annotations
• Maintain competency with CT and radiology equipment and software
• Properly position patients and label images to reflect correct orientation
• Use scanning factors and protocols appropriate for the patient and body part
• Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self
• Recognize emergencies and initiate code procedures when needed
• Review patient history and prior imaging to ensure appropriate exams
• Assist Radiologist during procedures and prepare for IV injections and contrast administration
• Maintain infection control and aseptic technique in procedures
• Ensure timely image availability for physician review on PACS
• Complete mandatory educational requirements and department tasks
