Northern Nevada Medical Center is seeking a full-time night CT/Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic CT and radiographic exams in an acute care setting. Qualifications

  • Experience performing diagnostic CT and radiographic exams per physician orders and protocols.
  • Ability to identify patients, review history, and explain procedures clearly.
  • Proficiency in operating CT and radiography equipment and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT and radiographic exams according to physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, history review, and informed procedure explanations
  • Position patients and select technical factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
  • Apply radiation safety principles and minimize exposure to patients and staff
  • Administer or assist with IV contrast and monitor for reactions
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain CT and radiography equipment
  • Document procedures, doses, and findings in PACS/RIS and EHRs
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other caregivers to coordinate imaging
  • Support imaging needs during night shifts
  • Follow infection control and hospital safety policies

Job description

Northern Nevada Medical Center seeks a full-time night CT/Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic CT and radiographic exams in an acute care setting. You will operate advanced imaging equipment, follow physician orders and protocols, ensure accurate positioning, and maintain strict radiation safety and infection control standards. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide compassionate, patient-centered care, support emergency and inpatient services, and contribute to a culture focused on safety, clinical quality, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic CT and radiographic exams according to physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, history review, and informed procedure explanations
  • Position patients and select technical factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
  • Apply radiation safety principles and minimize exposure for patients, staff, and self
  • Administer or assist with IV contrast and monitor patients for reactions or complications
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain CT and radiography equipment and report issues promptly
  • Accurately document procedures, doses, and findings in PACS/RIS and electronic health records
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other caregivers to prioritize and coordinate imaging
  • Support emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging needs during night shifts
  • Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies to ensure a safe clinical environment
