Job summary

At AZ General Hospital Laveen, part of Dignity Health, we seek a CT Radiologic Technologist to produce diagnostic CT and radiographic images, ensuring image quality and patient safety. The role requires one year of ER CT and radiography experience, a two-year Radiology Technology degree, and active CRT/CT LIC with ARRT CT

Qualifications

• One year of current experience performing CT and Radiographic procedures in an emergency room setting.
• Graduate of a 2 year accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Must hold and maintain AZ DHS Bureau of Special Licensing CRT (CT CRT) and CTCT (LIC CT).
• Must also hold and maintain national ARRT CT.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS).

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic CT and radiographic images for radiologists to diagnose and manage patient conditions.
• Performs CT and radiographic procedures at a technical level with emphasis on quality images.
• Ensures all CT and radiographic images are of diagnostic quality and uses proper technique to reduce radiation exposure (ALARA).
• Follows every step for taking an x-ray and CT scan with patient identifiers and safety precautions.
• Maintains patient safety and radiation safety practices during procedures.
