Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Advanced CT Technologist to perform complex CT imaging exams in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will operate state-of-the-art CT technology, optimize scan protocols, and ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout each procedure.

You will collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams, review images for quality, and contribute to protocol optimization while supporting orientation of new staff.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and CT (or equivalent).
• Active state radiologic technologist license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred for advanced imaging settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced CT procedures following protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Assess patients, explain procedures, and monitor safety and comfort during imaging exams.
• Operate and troubleshoot CT scanners and imaging software, optimizing technical parameters.
• Administer IV contrast safely, adhering to radiation safety standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support accurate diagnoses.
• Review images for quality, artifacts, and completeness; repeat/adjust scans as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with HIPAA and JC standards.
• Engage in protocol optimization and adoption of new CT technologies.
• Support orientation and mentoring of new technologists and students.

As an Advanced CT Technologist at Mercy, you will perform complex CT imaging exams in a fast-paced healthcare setting, supporting accurate diagnosis and lifesaving care.
