Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy, with patient interaction and careful image labeling. The role covers multiple sites (Aurora Lakeland Medical Center and surrounding clinics) with shifts including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.

Training in CT is provided on the job, and the position offers additional pay for hours worked beyond base.

Qualifications

• Radiologic Technologist with training in radiographic procedures including fluoroscopy.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols.
• Excellent communication and patient service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient computer skills for RIS/PACS and billing entries.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general and fluoroscopic exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain clinical history.
• Position patients and select exposure factors, ensuring radiation safety.
• Identify patients and label images; verify orders and document billing codes.
• Assist Radiologists and maintain radiology records and RIS/PACS data.
