Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited radiography program or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare/clinical setting, or related field; paid experience only.

Responsibilities

• Verifies orders and patient identity prior to examination; communicates clinical history.
• Operates CT equipment and applies CT techniques with safety procedures.
• Selects and edits scanning protocols to optimize diagnostic value; positions patients and responds to distress.
• Evaluates image quality and ensures correct patient identification on images/CDs.
• Practices radiation protection to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
• Demonstrates venipuncture competency and administers contrast as prescribed.
• Performs QA on equipment and coordinates service as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
