Job summary

AHMC HealthCare in California seeks a CT/Radiology Technologist to perform interpretive, patient care, and technical functions for accurate radiologic diagnosis. You will operate CT and other X-ray units, and help develop and monitor utilization procedures for the department.

You will deliver high-quality radiographic images and care for patients across neonatal to geriatric age groups in routine and special procedures.

Qualifications

• Degree in Radiology Technology or AMA approved program.
• Minimum of three years radiologic experience and special procedures experience preferred.
• Experience performing CT or in acute hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform interpretive, patient care and technical radiology functions for proper diagnosis.
• Operate CT scanner and other X-ray units; develop and monitor procedures for effective utilization.
• Provide quality radiographic images and care for all age groups (neonatal to geriatric).

Job description

Under the direction of the department manager or designee, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. Participates in technical duties directly involving the CT scanner, including developing, initiating, training and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit as well as other portable and stationary X-ray units within the radiology department. This individual will perform in the capacity of CT/Radiology Technologist, to perform all required special procedures in the radiology department, operating specialized equipment; as well as routine diagnostic procedures providing quality radiographic images.

• A Degree in Radiology Technology or equivalent approved A.M.A. program. Minimum of three years of radiologic experience and special procedures experience is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience performing CT or previous acute hospital experience is preferred. Experience caring for all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatrics.

Required Licenses/Certifications. CRT License and Fluoroscopy Permit. Valid California State Certification License in unlimited diagnostic radiology services. ARRT License required. Current BLS. CT Certification Preferred.
