Job summary

Mission Hospital McDowell seeks a Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist to perform imaging procedures across modalities with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, assisting physicians and maintaining image quality.

Applicants should have JCERT accreditation, ARRT certification with a CT or related modality within defined timeframes, CEU completion, and BLS. Prior radiology experience is preferred for this role in Marion, North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) program.
• ARRT registered with post-primary certification in a second qualifying imaging discipline or obtain registry within the specified timeframe (CT 6–9 months, Mammography 12 months, MRI 12–18 months).
• Completes CEU requirements for re-certification and holds BLS certification.
• Minimum prior experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology Department; 2 years preferred in an advanced discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging studies across modalities with sterile technique as required.
• Operate complex imaging equipment and assist physicians as needed.
• Work with two qualifying modalities under department supervision; ensure image quality.
• Maintain safety, documentation and ongoing continuing education.

We are looking for a CT Technologist to join our amazing team at McDowell Hospital. Training opportunities available to obtain your CT registry if you are a Radiologic Technologist.

This position will be two days during the week and then working every other weekend. Averages out to be less than 30 hours a week. Shifts will be 12 hours shifts-- weekends are 10a-10p and weekday shifts mary vary.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary: The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist is required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients per the needs of the modality/department. The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist is required to utilize sterile techniques, if necessary, operate complex imaging equipment and assist physicians as necessary. Continuing education, learned skills and experience will be utilized. This position will function without constant supervision to produce superior quality imaging studies. The Multi-Modality Technologist must routine work within a minimum of two qualifying modalities as directed by department managers/supervisors to meet the specific needs of the department. Performs all duties relating to the specific primary and post primary imaging modalities in which they are working. This includes Diagnostic, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound. Mammography & Bone Densitometry.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) program.

• Required License: ARRT registered and hold post primary certification in a minimum of 1 additional qualifying discipline in which exams will be performed in the role of Multi-Modality Technologist OR must obtain registry and have current certification on credentialing website for specified imaging modality within specific timeframe as follows; a. CT 6-9 months, b. Mammography 12 months, c. MRI 12-18 months

• Completes requirements for CEU for re-certification. BLS certified.

• Preferred License: None

• Required Experience: Previous experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology Department.

• Preferred Experience: Two years previous experience in an advanced discipline.
