Under general supervision, your primary duties include imaging neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnosis, and updating the hospital computer system. You will actively participate in outstanding customer service, maintain respectful relationships, and implement AdventHealth principles. You will perform technical scanning procedures requiring independent judgment, including ionizing radiation for CT, X-ray, and MR procedures, and be responsible for designated areas, policies, and equipment.
· Demonstrate, through behavior, AdventHealth core values of Christian Mission, Quality and Service Excellence, Compassion, Focus on Community Wellness, Cultural Diversity, and High Ethical Standards.
· Perform exams using AdventHealth protocols, properly identify patients, educate them about the exam, and screen for contrast allergies.
· Complete exams efficiently, maintain workflow, and communicate with patients post-exam.
· Operate all imaging equipment safely, perform scans on patients of all ages, and adapt protocols as necessary.
· Screen patients of childbearing age, minimize radiation exposure, practice infection control, and maintain clean, organized rooms. Perform quality assurance on scanners.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program with associate degree or certification
· ARDMS or ARRT certification as a Radiographer
· ARRT certification in CT
· ARDMS or ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance
