Job summary

Dignity Health - Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley, California, is seeking a CT Technologist to perform advanced imaging procedures and ensure high-quality diagnostic results. Qualifications

  • Five years experience in MRI in a Hospital setting.

  • Basic Life Support - CPR

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competency in patient care while performing a broad range of imaging procedures including MRI/CT.
  • Uses AIDET on all patient interactions.
  • Introduces self and verifies patient identification using two patient identifiers.
  • Maintains and preserves patient privacy, dignity and comfort during procedures.
  • Demonstrates mastery of radiographic equipment including CT/MRI scanners.
  • Assess film quality and review examinations with radiologist or coordinator.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process. To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates competency in patient care while performing a broad range of imaging procedures including MRI/CT. The complete performance of cardiac CT and Breast MRI (MRI based on patient preference). (ACR program can substitute for either MRI Breast or CT cardiac angio)
  • Uses AIDET on all patient interactions.
  • Introduces self and verifies patient identification using two patient identifiers. NPSG-1 Establishes or verifies patient symptoms and conditions through interview or review of medical record, recording information on the exam form while also communicating all pertinent information to the radiologist. Using interpersonal skills to establish trust and build rapport with patients
  • Maintains and preserves patient privacy, dignity and comfort by using table pads, patient gowns, blankets and sheets to cover the patient during procedures.
  • Demonstrates mastery of use of radiographic equipment and accessories, including CT scanner, post processing systems and MRI scanner.
  • Assess film quality for position, artifacts, density and contrast prior to patient leaving department. Reviews difficult or questionable examinations with a radiologist or coordinator. Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot cause of poor quality images and takes corrective measures.
Job Requirements
Required
  • Three years experience in an Imaging Department
  • Five years experience in CT
  • Five years experience in MRI in a Hospital setting
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
Preferred
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
  • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging
