Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare or radiology settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Assure room setup before procedures and clean afterward.
• Report changes in patient condition or behavior.
• Assist patients with changing and attending to call lights.
• Ensure patient is discharged to the correct destination and identify patient properly.
• Create patient identification bands and assist in positioning, lifting, and transporting patients.
• Prepare oral contrast and schedule scans; verify physician orders and coordinate inpatient flow.
• Maintain patient privacy and document history and exam data accurately in the system.
• Operate and troubleshoot PACS-related tasks and communicate malfunctions to IT.
• Perform front desk administrative duties and answer phones.
• Follow MRI/Radiation safety guidelines and wear PPE as required.
• Adhere to policies and maintain professional relationships with patients and staff.
• Educate patients and provide written/verbal instructions for tests and procedures.
