Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist for CT and MRI duties at the VA North Texas Health Care System in Fort Worth, Texas. The position supports CT and MRI imaging, with on-site responsibilities and standard federal benefits.

The role requires ARRT certification (R) in Radiography and advanced credentials for CT/MRI as applicable. The incumbent will operate independently in a professional radiology team environment.

Qualifications

• Citizenship in the United States is required.
• ARRT radiography certification (R) is required.
• Advanced ARRT certification may be required for CT, MRI, or Mammography duties.
• Completion of a 24-month post-high school radiologic technology program.
• Proficiency in English as required by VA standards.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform CT and MRI imaging according to radiologist instructions.
• Position patients and select scanner parameters to optimize image quality.
• Explain exams to patients and ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain CT/angiography equipment and radiology supplies inventory.
• Prepare contrast materials used in CT/angiography exams.
• Coordinate with radiologists on protocol modifications as needed.
