Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is hiring a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment, ensuring safe, high-quality imaging. The role involves reviewing orders, preparing patients, and coordinating with radiologists to optimize diagnostic outcomes.

The candidate should be a graduate of an accredited Radiological Science program with ARRT CT registration and strong anatomy knowledge. Onsite work with a 40-hour week is typical, with a day schedule and a $5,000 sign-on bonus referenced in the posting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiological Science program.
• Registration as CT technologist with ARRT.
• Good understanding of human anatomy from education or experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex radiology orders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct CT screening with safe equipment operation and high-quality imaging.
• Read and comprehend imaging orders, consult radiologist as needed.
• Obtain consent for contrast, establish IV access, and perform GFR sampling as applicable.
• Interview patients to assess risk factors and prior history for safety.
• Select appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters based on anatomy and equipment capabilities.
• Guide patients through examinations, explaining the procedure and maintaining composure.
