Job summary

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital performs scans, prepares patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to correctly capture the images requested by a physician. Minimum of two years in acute hospital base experience.

Under the direction of the Imaging Services Director, the CT Technologist will perform all aspects of various CT procedures to the specifications and standards established by the

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration and state-specific certifications required.
• Ability to perform CT procedures with correct positioning and contrast use.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
• Explain procedures and position patients to ensure diagnostic-quality images.
• Maintain patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and equipment safety checks.
• Rotate shifts and areas as scheduled; document in PACS and HIS/Billing systems.
• Ensure quality imaging through proper exposure, positioning, and technique.
