Job summary

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiology program is required.
• ARRT certification as Radiologic Technologist is required by state law.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association is required.
• Must achieve ARRT CT certification within 1 year of hire date.
• Florida CRT license is required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Take on-call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
• Charge appropriately for all supplies used and use correct exam codes.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures; analyze images for quality.
• Identify image quality issues and reposition/redo procedures as needed.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
• Administer contrast media/medications within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes.
• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patient about procedures.
