Qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher education required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist credential required or pending.
• CT Boards preferred as an enhancement.
• BLS/CPR through the American Heart Association required or encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Explains examination to the patient and obtains a patient history per departmental/regulatory guidelines.
• Positions patient for the examination according to protocols.
• Applies immobilization devices and shielding as appropriate.
• Enters patient identification in the information system.
• Selects radiation exposure and parameters per protocols.
• Reviews images for quality and completes patient charges records.
