Job summary

Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, NY, is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography scans and assist radiologists with interventional procedures, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

The role requires NYS Radiologic Technologist licensure (or equivalent) with ARRT-R and NYS Injection Certification within six months. Proficiency in PACS and EMR use is preferred. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday shifts from 2:30 pm to 3 am are scheduled.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• CT scanning and CT-guided interventional procedures.
• Attend hospital and departmental meetings and in-service training.
• Ensure timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts.
• Provide on-call coverage for CT Section of Radiology.
• Document exams and procedures in the EMR.
• Prepare and clean rooms daily.
• Verify patient identification and ensure appropriate indications.
• Administer IV contrast media (competency verified).
• Trained in PACS: sending to vRad, Powershare, RAPID, etc.
• Follow radiologist orders for imaging and contrast administration.
• Receive verbal orders and document in the EMR.
• Collaborate with other modalities for patient flow.
• Perform patient transport as needed.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes.
• Adhere to ALARA and radiation safety standards.
• Maintain CT equipment and accessories.
• Produce 3D post-processed images of good quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
