Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System in Perry County Imaging Services is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures and support physicians with high-quality imaging.

The role requires ARRT radiography certification, CT registry progress within 2 years, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants should have 1+ year of experience and be CPR certified; hospital life safety and patient care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Registered by the ARRT in radiography and state radiology license.
• Minimum of one year experience as a licensed Radiology Technologist.
• Must obtain ARRT CT registry within 2 years of hire date.
• Excellent interpersonal, decision‑making, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong communication skills—verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a changing environment.
• Good computer skills and experience with imaging software and clinical information systems.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT scanner and related imaging equipment for diagnostic procedures.
• Sets appropriate technical factors (protocols, slice thickness, exposure) per exam.
• Assists physicians in CT-guided interventional procedures as needed.
• Prepares and administers contrast media under physician direction.
• Follows radiation safety policies and protects patients and staff.
• Uses HIS/RIS/PACS to process and access patient information.
• Assists in transporting patients to and from the department.
• Participates in clinical training and supervision of radiology students.
• Provides patient and family education and information.
• Participates in QA/QC activities and contributes to ongoing improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
