Job summary

GENNTE Technologies seeks a Radiologic Technologist under the Imaging Director to perform radiographic procedures and assist in diagnosis. The role involves safe operation of imaging equipment and collaboration with radiologists to improve patient care.

The candidate will provide CT exposure to students and may mentor interns, interview patients, perform venipuncture, and assist in positioning for procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of radiology technology.
• ARRT certification and state licensure.
• Flexibility to work overtime and be on-call.
• Understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Must maintain continuing education credits by ARRT.
• Must maintain current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures to assist in a diagnosis.
• Operate equipment safely to produce images of the patient’s body for diagnostic purposes.
• Provide exposure in CT to Radiologic Technologist program students and may instruct interns.
• Interview patients, explain procedures, perform venipuncture and assist in positioning.
• Review test results with radiologists/referring physicians.

Job description

Under the direct supervision of the Imaging Director and under the guidance of the radiologist, performs radiographic procedures to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. The Radiologic Technologist works effectively with patients and patients’ families, consults other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities. The technologist is responsible for the safe operation of a variety of equipment to produce images of the patient’s body for diagnostic purposes. The technologist is responsible for providing exposure in the modality of Computed Tomography to the Radiologic Technologist program students and may provide instructions to interns. Interviews patients, explain procedures, performs venipuncture and assists in positioning the patient for procedures. Reviews test results with radiologists/referring physicians.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Graduation from an approved school of radiology technology.
2. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensed by the State Department of Health.
3. Flexibility to work overtime as needed as well as on-call duty.
4. Displays a good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics
5. Must maintain continuing education and meet the required continuing education credits by the ARRT
6. Must maintain continuing education and have current BLS.
