Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Graduate of approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure.
• ARRT certification (R) or (CT) or NMTCB in CT.

Responsibilities

• Exercising professional judgment in performance of services and maintaining quality care.
• Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Complies with state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
• Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age-specific needs.
• Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
• Positions patient and equipment to obtain high quality images for interpretation.
• Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Assists in supervision of student technologists and training of new technologists.
