Job summary

Jackson Parish Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT and radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality images. You will work with radiologists, prepare the room, position patients, and operate all related radiology equipment.

Responsibilities include adhering to regulatory standards, maintaining equipment, and assisting in QC and documentation while coordinating patient care throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Must hold ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in multiple radiologic disciplines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine patients' x-ray needs by reading physician requests and make exposures accordingly.
• Prepare x-ray room and explain procedures to patients prior to performance.
• Position patients and operate CT and other radiology equipment to capture appropriate images.
• Interpret CT instructions from radiologists and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain knowledge of oxygen delivery and monitor patient status during procedures.
• Support department quality control, charting, and equipment maintenance.
