Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist/CT technologist to perform imaging procedures with high standards of radiation safety and patient care. The role supports emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services in a hospital setting.

The position requires proficiency with CT technologies, strong interpersonal skills, and adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality protocols. Training and education opportunities are available within a Magnet-accredited network.

Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program or equivalent; 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• 1 year experience as a CT technologist; ability to provide proper patient care in radiologic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs all types of imaging procedures and operates equipment safely.
• Reviews images and repeats as necessary to ensure radiation safety and image quality.
• Communicates with the patient, explains the exam in lay terms, and keeps patient informed.
• Ensures exam is ordered correctly and images are delivered to the correct PACS folder.
• Documents LMP, fluoroscopy time, number of images, and any adverse reactions to contrast.
• Attends department meetings and assists with training of new staff and students.
• Coordinates daily work with the team and manages exam scheduling.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.
