Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – St. Louis is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform computed tomography procedures in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires precise patient positioning, contrast administration, and strict adherence to radiation safety protocols. The incumbent will collaborate with radiologists and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality imaging. No prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification required
• ARRT-CT CT credential or NMTCB CT credential preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for CT procedures
• Administers contrast media per protocol and safety guidelines
• Monitors patient during procedures and reports anomalies
• Follows radiation safety procedures and maintains protocol accuracy
• Performs duties as assigned and supports department workflows

Job Summary

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. This position must perform at least 3 of the following procedures: biopsy, TAVR, coronary, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations or fiducial placement.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program
• No experience required
• Required Professional License and/or Certifications
