Job summary

US Environmental Rental Company seeks a motivated technician to inspect, calibrate, and prepare equipment for rental orders. You will also assist clients with technical support and pre-order advice, ensuring batteries and gear meet specifications.

As part of the team, you will handle equipment cleaning, packing, and documentation, while communicating any damages and learning across environmental tech applications and software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Familiarity with Windows-based software is expected.
• Experience with environmental technology or small electronics is preferred.
• Willingness to learn about applications and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment and accessories, then package per manufacturers' specifications.
• Ensure rechargeable batteries are charged per manufacturer specifications.
• Calibrate and/or diagnose equipment within 24 hours of return.
• Communicate damages to supervisor as needed.
• Prepare equipment for new rentals, including packing lists and calibration reports.
• Provide technical support and training to clients via phone, email, or in person.
• Perform all reasonably assigned tasks.

At US Environmental Rental Company Our clients not only expect our equipment to be in optimal working condition, but they also rely on our help in selecting the appropriate equipment based on their needs as well as technical support throughout their rentals. Therefore, our technicians must be motivated problem-solvers that are detailed-oriented, focused and knowledgeable. To achieve this, our technicians must be enthusiastic to learn every aspect of our business, including applications and software, while possessing an element of customer service.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean equipment and accessories, then package per appropriate manufacturers' specifications.
• Ensure that all re-chargeable batteries are being put on charge in a timely manner, and according to manufacturer specifications.
• Calibrate and/or perform diagnostics for all assigned equipment within 24 hours after it has been returned from rental.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding damages that may have occurred during rental.
• Prepare equipment for new rental orders according to standard procedures. This also includes packing equipment, preparing packing lists and calibration reports and appropriate paperwork.
• Provide technical support and training including pre-order advice to clients via telephone, email and face-to-face.
• Perform all reasonably assigned tasks.

Division Of Responsibilities

Depending on location and/or other conditions, technicians will be assigned to specific areas based on seniority, skill, and/or preference. These areas include, but are not limited to: water quality, air quality, soil, survey, and telemetry.
