Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid DOT Card and recertification as required.
• 2+ years driving experience.
• Clean driving record (MVR) for 3–5 years.
• Knowledge of applicable traffic laws and safety regulations.
• No failed or refused drug/alcohol tests in the last three years.
• MVR not poor or borderline per policy.

Responsibilities

• Make on-time deliveries and pickups daily.
• Follow safety protocols and traffic laws; ensure safety of vehicle and cargo.
• Complete daily truck log; escalate issues to lead/manager.
• Load and unload materials using pallet jack or forklift.
• Prepare materials for delivery; shrink wrap/strap pallets and secure cargo.
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance and pre/post-trip checks.
• Verify material against transfer sheets for correct destination(s).
• Carry out special projects from Logistics/Warehouse management.
• Keep the vehicle clean and organized.

Description

Responsibilities

• Making on-time deliveries / pick-ups throughout the day.
• Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws and is responsible for the safety of the vehicle and the goods being transported.
• Accurately complete a daily truck log escalating any issues identified with the truck to lead/manager.
• Loads and unloads the material into/from the vehicle utilizing a manual/electric pallet jack or other forklift equipment.
• Properly verifies and prepares the material for deliveries, such as shrink wraps/straps the pallets, secures the material within the truck, etc.
• Performs minor maintenance such as checking/adding fuel, water, oil and air, checking brakes, tires, cleaning & washing the vehicles.
• Verifies the physical material to what is being listed on the transfer sheet ensuring that the material is delivered to the correct destination(s).
• Perform any special projects that are assigned by the Logistics Manager, Warehouse Manager and/or the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle ensuring that it is kept neat and organized.

Qualifications

• A valid DOT Card with ability to be recertified as required.
• 2+ years of driving experience.
• A clean driving record –Motor vehicle record (MVR) for the prior 3-5 years.
• Good knowledge of applicable traffic laws and safety regulations.
• No failed or refused drug / alcohol tests in the last three (3) years (this includes DWI’s / DUI’s).
• No MVR Poor or Borderline grading results as per the MVR assessment chart– See the MVR Policy Document

Salary Range: $20-$27 per hour (Salary commensurate with experience)
