A leading campus is seeking a Director of Facilities Management to oversee operations and ensure a positive experience for visitors and staff. This role involves managing budgets, coordinating with multiple departments, and applying sustainability principles to campus facilities. The CSU Spur Campus is seeking a Director of Facilities Management to join the dynamic CSU Spur leadership team. The Director of Facilities Management (FM) will work closely with various departments at CSU Spur to ensure smooth campus operations and a positive experience for visitors, students, tenants, and employees. This role involves managing ongoing campus operations, coordinating with an integrated team that includes event management, educational programming, visitor experience and exhibits, IT, administration, fundraising, and programs.
The CSU Spur campus is a public-facing campus with over 100,000 visitors annually. Open year-round, it hosts research labs, service providers, veterinary and equine care, educational offerings, and events. The Director of FM will oversee the facilities supporting these activities, manage external partnerships and tenants, work with IT and other departments, ensure sustainability principles—such as energy and water savings and occupant health—and manage budgets and contracts to keep facilities operational.
This position offers a unique opportunity for a positive, creative, and detail-oriented facilities professional to contribute to the continued development of this 3-year-old satellite campus. The campus features diverse amenities, including laboratories, classrooms, a teaching kitchen, a food lab, a greenhouse, student living spaces, horse stables, a veterinary clinic, and a theater. The role requires both creativity and attention to detail, providing a platform to demonstrate expertise in various areas.
