Job summary

Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes, MN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join St. Mary’s Hospital on a casual, as-needed basis. The CST will support call-ins and time off by picking up shifts, with day shifts posted from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Under RN supervision, they assist in the OR, handle instrumentation and equipment, and may perform other duties. Certification timing and BCLS within 1 month are required; graduate of accredited program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Surgical Technologist certification required within one year of hire.
• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Functions under the supervision of an RN in providing technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages.
• Manages instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis and supplies.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the department.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
