Job summary

AdventHealth Lenexa is seeking an experienced staff nurse or surgical support professional for StaffFlex contract assignments. You will provide patient care during pre-operative phases, assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients, and help maintain a sterile operating room environment.

This role offers flexible schedules, 40-hour weeks, and potential pathways to permanent employment within AdventHealth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical experience.
• Technical/Vocational School is required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in operating room or surgical support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures.
• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner.
• Ensures the operating room is sterile and ready for procedures.
