Job summary

Freshies Caribou is seeking a friendly Convenience Store Associate to deliver excellent customer service, operate the POS, and keep store operations running smoothly in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will join a part-time team in Caribou, ME with flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement, plus training and benefits as described by the employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in retail, cashiering, customer service, or food service is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and computer/POS skills.
• Reliable attendance and flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, fast, and accurate customer service.
• Operate POS system / cash register (cash, credit cards, EBT, prepaid cards, lottery, checks).
• Follow all cash handling procedures and company policies.
• Maintain compliance with alcohol, tobacco, lottery, and fuel regulations.
• Support food safety standards and cleanliness requirements.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays.
• Perform cleaning, merchandising, and daily store tasks.
• Assist with maintaining a safe, organized retail environment.
• Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You’ll Do
