The Safety Attendant provides one-on-one observation of selected patients to identify behaviors potentially hazardous to self or others, in accordance with facility policies and procedures. They report needs and concerns to a licensed nurse. CSSO Safety Attendants are responsible for providing safe, continuous, quality patient care across various settings. They are part of a market-based, corporate float pool team assigned to different units during their shift to meet patient care needs within the facility. These attendants possess the necessary skills, competencies, and qualifications, and are required to work in all facilities within a defined market (Greater Charlotte or Greater Winston Salem). This group is known as the Super Pool.
