Qualifications

Advanced degree in biomedical discipline with clinical experience or a clinical degree (RN, PharmD, NP, PA, or MD/DO).
Minimum one year of poison center experience and CSPI certification.
Preferred: clinical degree with RN, PharmD, NP, PA, or MD/DO that are registered and in good standing.

Responsibilities

Provide information on poisonous substances and triage emergency situations.
Refer individuals to appropriate treatment sources and document interactions.
Mentor staff and support training of students and colleagues.
Participate in triage of potentially suicidal individuals and follow-up with exposures.
Ensure compliance with SETPC and Texas Poison Center Network guidelines.
