Job summary

BJC HealthCare MedGroup is hiring a Full-Time Float Reg Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to float between multiple BJC MedGroup sites. As a Float MA, you will travel to provide coverage for shifts due to PTO, leave, or vacations.

You must have MA certification or registration and CMS/RMA credentials, and you will cover exams at various locations. This role requires ability to travel between multiple sites in Saint Charles County and offers mileage reimbursement as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of MA Certification or Registration at hire.
• 2 years Medical Assistant experience.
• CMS or RMA through (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA).

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate charting.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point‑of‑care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.

As a Float - Medical Assistant, you will be a Full-Time BJC employee who travels to provide coverage to multiple BJC MedGroup sites/locations which is determined by the greatest need.

Float MA’s are responsible for covering shifts of employees on PTO, Leave, vacation, sick, etc.

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.
