Job summary

BJC HealthCare MedGroup is seeking a full-time Float Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to travel between BJC MedGroup locations in Saint Charles County and surrounding areas. The role provides coverage for PTO, leaves and vacations, with a $3/hour shift differential on day shifts.

Candidates must hold MA certification/registration and have 2 years of MA experience; travel and mileage reimbursement are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years Medical Assistant experience.
• Must provide MA Certification or Registration at hire.
• Travel between multiple locations required; mileage reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks exam room supplies.
• Obtains vital signs and patient history; documents in the patient’s chart.
• Performs clinical skills such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls and communicate test results to patients and providers with correct medical terminology.

BJC HealthCare MedGroup is now hiring a Full-Time Float Reg Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to Float between locations.

As a Float - Medical Assistant, you will be a Full-Time BJC employee who travels to provide coverage to multiple BJC MedGroup sites/locations which is determined by the greatest need.

Float MA’s are responsible for covering shifts of employees on PTO, Leave, vacation, sick, etc.

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point‑of‑care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
