Dell Technologies in Austin, Texas invites an Undergraduate Software Engineer Intern to contribute to enterprise product software across middleware, UI, and cloud layers. You will work within the Client Solutions Group Engineering on Windows, iOS, and Android platforms, applying SDLC practices in a collaborative Agile team environment.

The ideal candidate is pursuing an Engineering/CS degree with graduation Dec 2027 or May 2028, has strong C/C++/Java skills and familiarity with React or Angular,

• Currently enrolled in Engineering/Technology/CS undergraduate with graduation Dec 2027 or May 2028.
• Strong coding skills in C, C++, Java, or Front-End Web frameworks like React or Angular.
• Basic understanding of Linux/Windows fundamentals and architecture (x86/ARM).
• Hardworking and motivated to take on challenging assignments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop Production Quality software using Industry standard best coding practices.
• Develop high availability and highly scalable client-side and/or server-side software.
• Work with external partners and internal Dell teams to create cross-platform solutions.
• Software development in small teams (6-12 engineers) using Agile Scrum process.

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you'll achieve

As a Software Engineer Intern,your primary responsibility will be to develop innovative software solutions and tools for Dell's enterprise products that encompass middleware components, applications, user interfaces and cloud software layers. The software you develop and/or validate will be utilized on millions of Dell devices worldwide and on Dell's multi-billion dollar a year ecommerce website. We are looking for interns who are comfortable taking accountability and can adapt easily to meet the needs of our rapidly evolving business. The ideal intern is customer focused, results driven, innovative, works well on a team, and acts with integrity.

You will:

• Work closely with technologists, and experienced software developers using Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, to take a project from concept through completion, including design, implementation and integration, validation strategy, and debug
• Develop Production Quality software using Industry standard best coding practices
• Develop high availability and highly scalable client-side and/or server-side software to enable scenarios and solve real-world user problems
• Work with external partners and internal Dell technology, marketing, engineering and validation teams to create solutions for Windows platforms, iOS or Android platforms
• Software development in small teams (6-12 engineers) using Agile Scrum process

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering, Technology, or Computer Science related undergraduate degree with a graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028
• Understanding of Computer Science Foundations and basic knowledge of the Software Development Cycle
• You have strong coding skills in C, C++, Java, or Front-End Web development frameworks like React or Angular, with emphasis on writing scalable code on Linux, Windows, Android or iOS platforms
• Basic understanding of X86 and ARM architecture, Linux and Windows Operating system fundamentals
• Hardworking and motivated to take on challenging assignments
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this position is: $29.60-$31.80.
