Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to develop, deploy, and harden CSfC/ Cross-Domain architectures in government networks. This role focuses on VDI administration, OS updates, and secure design for mission-critical environments.

You will collaborate with government and subcontractors, perform system pre-tests, and deliver technical presentations. Expect travel up to 50%, with a strong emphasis on security best practices and compliant procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Basic knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure and storage solutions.
• Basic knowledge of system hardening principles and practices.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux operating system.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
• Assist in deploying software and operating system updates via automated tools (such as Ansible or MCM).
• Conduct system hardening practices for major operating system platforms (Windows, RHEL, ESXi, vCenter etc.).
• Assist in monitoring, diagnosing, and optimizing system performance while maintaining compliance.
• Help design, configure and implement CSfC solutions based upon customer specifications.
• Assist in conducting systems pre-test and acceptance tests.
• Collaborate with government and/or subcontractors at customer site for solution integration.
• Assist in developing technical presentations for customers.
• Serve as a technical resource at customer briefings.
• Requires travel (up to 50%) globally.
• Understand and adhere to all CACI Ethical and Compliance policies.
• Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to CACI EH&S policies and procedures.
