About the CAC
The Children's Advocacy Center of Hampshire County works to prevent and end child abuse in our community by providing safety, healing, and justice. The CAC brings together law enforcement, child protection, medical and mental health providers, prosecutors, and advocates to provide a coordinated, child-centered response to abuse. In addition to supporting children and families after abuse has occurred, the CAC provides prevention education and community outreach designed to help keep children safe.
Position Details
The Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Coordinator & Online Safety Specialist leads the Children's Advocacy Center of Hampshire County's (CAC) response to children and adolescents who are at risk of or have experienced commercial sexual exploitation, trafficking, online exploitation, or technology-facilitated abuse. The position collaborates with the multidisciplinary team on CSEC-related cases to provide advocacy and support for families, connect children and caregivers with appropriate services, and help ensure a coordinated, trauma-informed response. The position also serves as the CAC's subject-matter resource on online exploitation and emerging technology, translating rapidly changing information into education, professional training, case consultation, and community awareness.
Schedule: 24-32 hours per week
Compensation: $26-$27 per hour

Responsibilities:
CSEC Coordination and Family Advocacy
- Coordinate the CAC's response to CSEC, trafficking, online exploitation, and related referrals. Serve as the primary point person and internal resource for CSEC and exploitation-related cases.
- Attend forensic interviews, team meetings, multidisciplinary case reviews, and facilitate additional case coordination as needed.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, DCF, the District Attorney's Office, schools, medical and mental health providers, and other community partners.
- Provide trauma-informed advocacy, information, resource navigation, and ongoing support to caregivers and families. Connect children and families with appropriate mental health, medical, educational, and community resources.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to schedule and coordinate recurring or as-needed therapy sessions, collect developmental history, and provide case management assessment of needs/external stressors.
- Provide families with psychoeducational information regarding clinical treatment models and the impact of trauma on children.
- Maintain accurate case documentation, follow-up, and program data.
Emerging Technology and Online Exploitation
- Serve as the CAC's subject-matter resource on online exploitation, emerging technology, and youth digital culture.
- Maintain current knowledge of social media, messaging apps, gaming environments, artificial intelligence, and other evolving digital spaces used by children and adolescents.
- Proactively research emerging platforms, technologies, terminology, online behaviors, and methods of grooming, enticement, sextortion, exploitation, and other technology-facilitated harm and assess for their potential impact on child safety, prevention, and victim support.
- Collaborate with the CAC prevention team to develop and deliver online-safety and exploitation-prevention education for youth, caregivers, schools, professionals, and community organizations.
Program Leadership and Statewide Engagement
- Lead the continued development and strengthening of the CAC's CSEC and online exploitation response.
- Represent the CAC on statewide coalitions, task forces, workgroups, and collaborative initiatives related to CSEC, trafficking, online exploitation, and child safety.
- Maintain knowledge of current research, professional standards, legislation, and state and national initiatives.
- Track program trends and outcomes and contribute to grant reporting, program evaluation, and organizational planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, public health, human services, education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience in victim advocacy, child welfare, child abuse response, human services, trafficking/CSEC, or a related field. Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, strengths-based practice.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, case coordination, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated digital fluency, curiosity about emerging technology, and ability to research and quickly learn unfamiliar platforms and technologies independently.
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and represent the CAC professionally with community and statewide partners.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Demonstrated initiative, self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to use time strategically to build expertise, strengthen partnerships, identify emerging needs, and advance program goals.
- Ability to communicate about sensitive and complex topics in an accessible, developmentally appropriate, and professional manner with youth, caregivers, professionals, and community audiences.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to meetings, schools, community programs, and other work-related activities.
