Job summary

Kansas State University invites applications for two 9-month tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) program. Candidates with expertise in any area of speech-language pathology are welcome, with preference for dysphagia, adult neurogenic disorders, and neuroanatomy.

2:2 teaching load (0.4 FTE) supports research and service; Aug 2027 start preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in communication sciences and disorders or closely related field (ABD considered with anticipated completion within 1 year)
  • Earned CCC-SLP
  • Eligibility for Kansas licensure as a speech-language pathologist
  • Demonstrated or emerging scholarly activity with publications or external funding
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching at graduate/undergraduate level
  • Interprofessional collaboration and mentorship skills

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an active externally funded research program
  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses aligned with expertise
  • Advise graduate students
  • Provide service to program, school, college, and university
  • Engage in interdisciplinary scholarship opportunities within the school
