  • Effectively meet CSC and customer demands.
  • Responsible for local operational performance including DOT compliance, safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Record hours of service using ELDs and troubleshoot related issues while following regulations.

Responsible for driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures to transport products to customer locations in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.

The expected pay for this role is $19.00 per hour. Actual compensation within this range may be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

What You'll Do
  • Safely operate Commercial Motor Vehicles ranging from straight truck to tractor trailer
  • Deliver and unload caskets in a safe manner
  • Develop and nurture customer relationships
  • Effectively meet CSC and customer demands
  • Responsible for local operational performance in the following areas: DOT regulations, health and safety, vehicle inspection and maintenance, work standards, procedures and policies, and customer satisfaction
  • Proficiency or knowledge and ability to become proficient in utilizing electronic logging devices (ELD's) and related technology. Including the ability to accurately record hours of service, perform necessary data entry, and troubleshoot any ELD related issues while adhering to all requirements.
  • Participation in additional safe driver training or orientation may be required, to ensure familiarity with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Vehicles may be equipped with rear and forward-facing cameras to enhance safety and monitor driving behaviour.

Experience (Required)

  • Clean MVR or Driver Abstract with no major violations or accidents within the past three years.
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure customer demand is met
  • Ability to build and maintain effective customer relationships
  • Must successfully pass a vehicle road test
  • Must maintain a current DOT physical and keep on file with issuing state motor vehicle department
  • Ability to lift and/or move miscellaneous equipment and product weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and over 100 pounds occasionally

Preferred

  • 3 years of delivery experience
  • Vehicle specific experience, relative to the type of vehicle you will be operating
  • Customer service experience
  • Class B CDL
  • Previous CDL driving experience
  • Experience with computers
  • Other

Travel

Travel is generally not required but may include some overnight travel depending on the location and route.
