Job summary

FTS Technical Services is seeking an experienced CSA QA/QC Inspector to join a major pharmaceutical manufacturing campus expansion in Lebanon, Indiana. This full-time role includes travel opportunities and per diem for qualified travelers.

The ideal candidate will inspect Civil, Structural, and Architectural work, verify conformance with drawings, specifications, and ITPs, and maintain detailed quality documentation. Strong communication and QA/QC discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of CSA Quality Inspection experience on commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Experience inspecting concrete, structural steel, foundations, architectural systems, building envelope, and interior finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, structural drawings, architectural drawings, specifications, and QA/QC procedures.
• Experience documenting inspections and maintaining quality records.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of Civil, Structural, and Architectural construction activities.
• Verify installation complies with drawings, specifications, ITPs, and project quality standards.
• Inspect concrete placement, reinforcing steel, anchor bolts, embeds, formwork, structural steel, grouting, and architectural finishes.
• Conduct field verification of dimensions, elevations, tolerances, and material installation.
• Review contractor quality documentation including inspection reports, material certifications, concrete test reports, structural steel documentation, weld records, NCRs.
• Witness inspections and testing activities.
• Identify deficiencies and work with contractors to resolve quality issues.
• Verify corrective actions have been completed prior to final acceptance.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
• Participate in quality meetings, contractor walkdowns, and punch list activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, commissioning, project controls, and construction management teams.
• Promote a proactive safety culture while supporting site safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) inspection within industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, life sciences, data center, or other highly regulated construction environments.

Position Summary

The CSA QA/QC Inspector is responsible for verifying that all Civil, Structural, and Architectural work complies with project specifications, engineering drawings, contract documents, applicable building codes, and client quality requirements. This position works closely with construction management, subcontractors, engineering teams, and client representatives to identify quality issues, document findings, and ensure corrective actions are completed before work progresses.

Quality and documentation are critical on pharmaceutical projects, making attention to detail and a commitment to excellence essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of Civil, Structural, and Architectural construction activities.
• Verify installation complies with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and project quality standards.
• Inspect concrete placement, reinforcing steel, anchor bolts, embeds, formwork, structural steel, grouting, and architectural finishes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of CSA Quality Inspection experience on commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Experience inspecting one or more of the following:
• Concrete
• Structural steel

• Ability to read and interpret:
• Construction drawings
• Structural drawings
• Architectural drawings
• Specifications
• QA/QC procedures
• Experience documenting inspections and maintaining quality records.
• Working knowledge of:

• OSHA regulations
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Ideal Candidate
