Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a CSA Project Engineer to support civil, structural, and architectural construction activities across process systems. You will translate designs into field-ready work packages and ensure adherence to engineering documentation in the field.

Requires a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering and at least five years' experience in design, construction, and execution of complex industrial facilities. Travel and occasional after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years supporting design, construction, and execution of civil/structural projects.
• Ability to read engineering documents issued for construction such as P&IDs and isometric drawings.
• Experience with CSA scopes including structural steel, concrete, foundations, embeds, anchors, and equipment supports.
• Codes and standards knowledge: IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering to address constructability and design issues for CSA scopes.
• Review and approve external civil, structural, or architectural documentation and specifications.
• Lead cross-functional 3D model reviews to identify constructability issues.
• Plan, sequence, assemble, and issue Construction Work Packages.
• Coordinate field activities with procurement and subcontractors.
