Rutgers University’s Department of Computer Science invites applications for an NTT Teaching Instructor (non tenure track) to teach introductory computer science courses, including data structures and discrete structures, at Rutgers University-New Brunswick.

The appointment starts as early as January 1, 2027, for a minimum one-year contract. Candidates should have prior experience teaching introductory CS coursework and will participate in recitation coordination and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching introductory CS courses.
• Ability to develop exams, homework, and programming assignments.

Responsibilities

• Teach CS undergraduate classes.
• Interview and hire recitation instructors and graders.
• Coordinate and supervise recitation sections.
• Create exams, homework, and programming assignments, possibly with other instructors.
• Coordinate with the course coordinator across instructors’ classes.
• Develop curriculum and share assignments across sections.
