Job summary

The Center for Early Relational Health (CERH) at Columbia University is seeking a Casual Worker for the Combo National, CERH Study research team. You will assist with experiments, data collection, and coordination under supervision of senior researchers.

Qualifications

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Center for Early Relational Health (CERH) at Columbia University, as it expands nationally and underscores the importance of human connectedness, is currently searching for a Casual Worker. The casual role within the Combo/COMBO National, CERH Study research team is an integral part of our mission to advance scientific understanding in human connectedness including neurodevelopment, growth, maternal cognitive function, socioemotional function, and much more. Working under the supervision of senior researchers, the Casual worker will play a hands-on role in conducting experiments, collecting data, and assisting with the coordination of research activities.

Responsibilities
  • Code videos.
  • Recruit participants and obtain informed consent.
  • Program, manage and code data collection through REDCap.
  • Interact with study participants using English and Spanish (if applicable).
  • Clean and analyze study data.
  • IRB submission and management.
  • Conducts literature reviews.
  • Attends project meetings, area seminars, and other meetings as necessary
  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or Equivalency required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish Native.
Other Requirements
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-offer and post-offer background checks in accordance with NYC's Fair Chance Act. Depending on the position, a drug screening and other verifications may be required. (University Policies)
  • Must successfully complete applicable compliance and systems training requirements.
    • HIPAA Privacy and Security Essentials Training.
    • Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain clear records, and work in a team environment. Basic computer skills.
