Job description

Position Information

Position Title: CS Raptor Student
City position located in Auburn, AL. Pay Rate: $11.50/hour. Work Hours: 20 per week. Weekend/holiday work and same‑day travel within state and some out‑of‑state travel may be required.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct raptor educational programs, including teaching, public speaking, and providing expertise and assistance in outreach efforts under the direction of Education Staff.
  • Provide and assist in the care and training of the Raptor Center’s educational ambassadors under direction of Education Staff.
  • Assist volunteers with training, proper handling, restraining, and husbandry of educational ambassadors as directed.
  • Assist with facility maintenance as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled Auburn University student.
  • Minimum of 1 year working with animals.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience training raptors using positive reinforcement techniques and participating in public presentations.
