Introduction

Are you interested in providing clinical supervision, direct service to individuals in the community, and administrative management with a committed team of mental health professionals that values quality service, integrity, and accountability? If so, we are seeking qualified applicants to fill our full-time Therapist III (Senior Clinical Services Caseworker) supervisory position for a recovery-oriented, evidence-based, community-based, First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program.

About This Role

This supervisory position on the Get on Track team will support the team leader and the staff of the First Episode Psychosis program and help in ongoing development of the Clinical High-Risk Program (CHRP). The Get on Track team serves adolescents and transitional age (16y-25y) individuals who are experiencing the first episode of psychosis. Services are primarily provided outside the office in the community, residential settings, and/or client's homes. The work involves clinical supervision, assessment, intervention, counseling/therapy, treatment and rehabilitation of clients requiring application of basic counseling knowledge and skills in working with clients and families. As the Clinical High-Risk Program develops, this supervisory position may also work with individuals who are assessed to be at clinical high risk of developing psychosis.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related behavioral science field
  • 2-3 years of experience in the delivery of human services in a Mental Health outpatient environment working with seriously mentally ill individuals
  • Must be L.C.S.W. or L.P.C., or L.M.F.T. by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Preferences

  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience working with adolescents, families, and/or transitional age youth (16-25 years old)
  • Experience working in the community
  • Experience working on a coordinated specialty care or other multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience and knowledge related to psychotropic medications.
  • Knowledge of recovery model practice.

Special Requirements

  • You must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass DMV record check.
  • Must pass TB test.
  • Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprinted-based national criminal history record check.
  • Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services.

Work Schedule

Monday Friday day Shift (e.g., 8-4, 9-5) and 1 evening shift per week. schedules are flexible and will be further DISCUSSED DURING THE INTERVIEW.

Starting Salary Range: $82,777.50 - $111,033.00

This position qualifies for a hiring bonus of $5,000. This bonus will be paid in two equal installments as funds permit. The first installment of $2500 is payable after (90) days of employment have been completed. The final $2,500 installment will be payable following the completion of the probationary period.
