Job summary

United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is seeking an International Multimedia Journalist to plan, shoot, edit, and deliver complex promotional content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.

You will lead creative development of campaigns, program promotions, and brand initiatives, coordinating schedules, talent, and resources. Fluency in the target language and deep regional knowledge are essential for adapting content for English distribution.

Qualifications

International Multimedia Journalist – IIIPlan, shoot, edit, and deliver complex promotional and marketing content for broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.Lead creative development of station image campaigns, program promotions, special event marketing, and brand initiatives.Develop concepts, scripts, storyboards, and production plans that align with organizational goals and audience engagement strategies.Serve as lead videographer and editor for high-profile productions, special projects, and executive communications.Produce high-quality video, audio, motion graphics, and multimedia content using advanced production and editing techniques.Coordinate production schedules, locations, talent, and technical resources to ensure successful project completion.Collaborate with producers, marketing teams, designers, and leadership to create compelling content that supports programming and strategic initiativesWrites and produces news and feature content and programming as assigned for use in broadcasts and web and social mediaAs assigned, during programs, serves as line producer for a complex show incorporating video, audio, effects, multiple remote live sources, etcConducts and writes up interviews for inclusion in his/her assigned storiesAdapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assignedVersions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assignedParticipates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assignedVoices material for/during broadcasts as assigned, including material prepared by othersContributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assignedAs assigned, edits and approves copy and content prepared or written by others for broadcast and/or publication for inclusion in his/her assigned storiesAdapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assignedVersions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assignedParticipates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assignedVoices material for/during broadcasts as assigned, including material prepared by othersContributes finished products meeting standards to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material and static and motion graphics, as assignedPerforms technical functions including operation of equipment, as assignedContributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as neededMeets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlinesServes as videographer as assignedServes as anchor/program host as assignedMakes suggestions about policy and workflow improvementsWorks independently or as a member of a teamFluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned, within the time assignedLogs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOA’s digital asset management systemOther related duties as assignedAbout the AgencyThe United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is an exciting, multi-media, multi-cultural, global media agency that carries out all United States civilian international broadcasting.
