Summary & Purpose

The Cybersecurity Solution Architect collaborates with experienced cybersecurity and IT professionals to implement security architecture principles within Entergy’s cybersecurity towers. The Architect designs, documents, and governs the security requirements, decisions, risks, and mitigations for systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing system security and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity towers and the Enterprise Cybersecurity Architecture team to integrate security into projects and processes.
• Design specific solutions within the overarching Cybersecurity strategy and standards.
• Bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring alignment, sound design, and technical feasibility.
• Provide strong problem‑solving and collaborative skills for cybersecurity challenges.
• Act as a liaison between Enterprise Cybersecurity Architects, vendors, project management, and technical teams.
• Develop procedures and work instructions.
• Document all requirements for projects within the team’s tower.
• Offer operational support to the teams within the tower.
• Partner with business SMEs to capture, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into operational work products.
• Maintain traceability of functional and non‑functional specifications to business requirements.
• Ensure work products are comprehensive for transition to development and QA teams.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years working with cybersecurity technology and its business impact.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Deep understanding of industry‑recognized cybersecurity solutions.
  • Experience developing customer‑centric solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Identity & Access Management, SecOps, Network Security, Security Engineering.
  • Planning experience, especially in long‑term strategy design.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Ability to integrate business needs with security technology capabilities.
